Doug Chaplin's blog hacked?

Unless Doug Chaplin is in the middle of an elaborate hoax on himself, it seems that his clayboy blog is the victim of a hacking attack. Sympathies, Doug, and I hope that all will be back to normal soon. In the mean time, a reminder to us all of the dangers of such things. Heck; has anyone got any guidance on how to avoid such attacks?

Well, for starters have a strong username and pword. But, I use BLogger Backup, a free backup utility. Google it and download it; its great. So, if you do get hacked, you just upload the file and your content is restored.

Many thanks, Michael. I am using it as we speak!

i think it might just be his domain that's been hacked, rather than the blog. not that it's making much difference right now.

Good point, Tim; that means that it's worth backing up files located through any of the domains we have the rights to as well.
